• Age requirements:
  •  Jordanian:
    • Min age:18
  • Non- Jordanian:
    • Valid Residents permit

• Jordanians:
  • Valid Jordanian ID.
  • Proof of residence (rent contract, utility bill ….) 
  • For some cases proof of income could be required.
  • For US citizens and Green- card holder additional documents and signing additional forms will be requested. 
• Non-Jordanians:
  • Valid passport.
  • Valid resident in Jordan.

CBJ regulations for settlement of returned checks:

To avoid being listed in CBJ Returned Checks List, the returned check should be settled within the legal period from date of returning, through one of the following methods:

• Paying the check from customer's account
• Providing the bank with a written settlement letter between the payee and the drawer certified by court, a public notary, or
• Presenting to the bank the original copy of returned check.
• Bank received court decision
• Receiving check lost/theft report from concerned security or judicial entities.

Any procedure taken by the bank in accordance to CBJ regulations, do not entail any legal liability.
