• Minimum starting balance: JOD 100.
• Age requirements:
  •  Jordanian:
    • Min age:18
    • For minors (underage) account will be opened under custody of client’s father or by court order.
  • Non- Jordanians:
    • Valid Residents permit in Jordan.

• Jordanians:
  • Above 18 years old:
    • Valid Jordanian ID.
    • Proof of residence (rent contract, utility bill ….) 
    • For some cases proof of income could be required.
    • For US citizens and Green- card holder additional documents and signing additional forms will be requested. 
  • Minors:
    •  Certificate of birth.
    • Family status.
    • Custodian ID.
    • Court order (if applied)
    • For US citizens and Green- card holder additional documents and signing additional forms will be requested. 
• Non-Jordanian:
  • Valid passport.
  • Valid resident permit in Jordan.
  • Proof of residence (rent contract, utility bill ….)
  • For US citizens and Green- card holder additional documents and signing additional forms will be requested.

 Mudarabah

If such deposit reach the Sharia-prescribed Nisab, Zakat shall be calculated by applying the declared Zakat base rate to the outstanding balance as 31 December, as determined by the bank.  

Subsequently, the Zakat amount resulting from these deposits shall be aggregated with the Zakat due on the other eligible assets (such as Current accounts, gold holdings, and other), in order to determine the de total Zakat payable.  

As of 31/12/2025 , the applicable Zakat rate was 20.74 fils per Jordanian Dinar, equivalent to 2.047%
